<title>Lincoln Park Shops to Replace Lincoln Park Place</title>

<description>Developer Larry Jones presented his current plans for redevelopment of the former Tim and Avi's Salvage property at25th/Central at the April 24 neighborhood meeting.  Due to the downturn in the real estate market as well as financing markets, he is not able to build the planned Lincoln Park Place mixed-use development.  Current plans are to upgrade the existing building with a new facade, interior, parking and landscaping to accomodate retail shops.  Construction should begin soon and take about 90 days.  </description>

<description>There is a new charter school opening this fall at 22nd and the Monon and they are currently recruiting students for grades K-3.  The Indianapolis Project School (TPS) is a K-8 teacher designed model currently identifying potential and interested students and families for the 2008 – 2009 school year.  The Project School will be opening its doors in August of 2008 with 200 students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

<title>Coffee Shop &amp; Cafe Coming To Neighborhood</title>

<description>The Fall Creek Cafe (a coffee shop and cafe with a Mediterranean flavor) is scheduled to start construction this spring.  It will be built by HSM Development on a former gas station site at 2402 North Meridian Street.  One of the cafe's owners is Moshreq Sobhy, who works for Citizens Gas on the Meridian Corridor.  The site received zoning variances and approvals last month with the support of Fall Creek Place HOA and other neighborhood groups.

We are excited to have a new locally-owned business neighbor coming to the corridor!
