Garden Committee Bulb Sale
The FCP Garden Committee is holding its 1st annual bulb sale this fall to help raise money for beautification projects such as doggy waste stations in the parks, flowers and bushes for the gateway monuments, replacement trees and many other projects. Even if you aren't a green thumb, bulbs are an easy, no maintenance way to bring color to your yard throughout the spring and summer months. The bulb sale will run from August 29th – September 18th. You can pick up a sale packet from Goose The Market, King Park or contact Heather Roemer at garden@fallcreekplace.com if you would prefer to just make a purchase. Our goal is to sell 300 packages of bulbs so please ask your friends, family and coworkers. The person who sells the most packages of bulbs will get a gift card to Goose The Market. We will have 2nd and 3rd place prizes also. Please help us keep Fall Creek Place looking beautiful.

Public Safety Cooperative Neighborhood Patrols
The King Park Public Safety Cooperative Neighborhood Patrol Program
is now accepting membership for patrols beginning May 1. Please visit
www.kpadc.org/publicsafety for
registration forms by membership type. Payment is not due upon registration; an
electronic paypal invoice will be sent within several days for electronic
payment or a check may be mailed or dropped off to King Park at 2430 N Delaware
Street (checks payable to King Park Public Safety Cooperative). Rates for
residences range from $12 to $25/monthly. Patrols will begin May 1, with new
members added to the patrol roster biweekly.
The Neighborhood Patrol Program pools member resources to hire off-duty IMPD
officers to patrol the streets and alleys of the King Park neighborhoods.
- Households, multi-family building/complexes, businesses, organizations, and places of worship within the King Park neighborhoods pool financial resources to hire veteran, off-duty IMPD officers to patrol our neighborhoods.
- The officers will work for the neighborhood, although they retain full police powers and can respond as any on-duty officer. They will be supplementing, not replacing, IMPD service by pro-actively addressing problems we neighbors identify and b y responding to suspicious activity.
- The more members that join the cooperative, the more patrol time is purchased. Patrol times will be random and may be adjusted to reflect seasonal trends and emerging problems.
- Officers will work with the King Park Public Safety Committee, made up of crimewatch leaders from each neighborhood, to address specific problems, locations, and persons.
Benefits of Joining
- Off-duty IMPD officers, with full police powers, will randomly patrol around your home, organization, or business in marked and unmarked vehicles.
- Officers will patrol down the streets, alleys, and side streets of all Cooperative members pro-actively looking for suspicious behavior.
- Officers will provide any advice regarding your property that they notice might make you more likely to be a crime victim.
- Cooperative members have the ability to relay concerns and other information to the on-duty patrolling officers.
- Cooperative members may have the ability to purchase additional services directly from the officers, including a vacation service.
Membership in the Cooperative is open to anyone living in the
neighborhood.
